Pintrest

I have strange obsession with it. It is a playground for women to enjoy. I guess you could say that it is unhealthy.. it probably is, but it is also a lot of fun and no one (except for maybe the guys) can deny that. Inspiration

So I've really been putting off writing on this blog. Perhaps it is because I'm lazy or perhaps it is that I can't seem to find inspiration. That is what I've set to do today, provide inspiration for the next designer, as well as for me.

These are the 'fallen stars' on the shore of Vaadhoo, Maldives. They are beautiful, amazing. They are enchanting. If those things are naturally created than could it be possible to create a synthetic version, on that you could wear? One that only glimmers at night. I think that  it is possible. Maybe it would be solar powered, you'd have to leave it out to charge in the daylight and for the whole night it would shine a bright, blue light.

What are some places that inspire you?

How to Wear Chambray

Well let's start off by giving the definition of chambray because it is not the same as denim.

cham - bray

/'SHam-bre/

a linen-finished gingham cloth with a white weft and colored warp, producing a mottled appearance.
https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh7zoOOt5eYLyaCIomsxipZh8tQfJMLm8Rvvw5Gsj0PaZjPj0Zj8ikYYb9A7zEFR8nnYeXCoBW0AiP0PMO-YlEXkYZa95fcbQnvty1TwQ1ze5CuHihBikst6AN83T2pPAZFvmhpl86_NQ/s1600/0111.jpeg
So basically it's a lighter version of denim. Now let's talk about ways to wear it:
Liking chambray with stripes!
On Top Of Striped Shirt

chambray, white denim & gold
With White & Gold
Chambray is everywhere and we like it best with a little color! Layer up with our new tops!
Or Maybe a Colorful Skirt
Cute outfit for grad party hopping! #shorts #lace #chambray
With Lace???

And here are 21 ways that I found on Pinterest

Ask Me Questions

So, I've been talking a lot and not really asking you what I should post. With that in mind I will ask you, if you will ask me questions.

"Will you ask me questions?"

There I said it! You can ask me anything, anything at all, about any topic, just make it about fashion, this blog, blogs I'm following, things of that matter. Maybe you'd like to guest post. Or maybe you want to know what my mission statement. Whatever! I will answer all questions that I can just post it in a comment, with a pseudonym or your real name if you feel comfortable using it. Go ahead ask away, if you have multiple questions, I won't judge just ask in the comments.

I repeat: ASK IN THE COMMENTS

Thank you for your questions and considerations. I'm trying to get a camera and if I do that means pictures!! Ask me questions!

A First Draft

Okay, I hate my blogging schedule. I hate being tied down, it was fun the first week. Now it's just annoying. I can't stop saying how much I hate it. I HATE IT SO MUCH!!!! Okay, done ranting, I think I'm going to start creating instead of displaying.

This being said, I've been designing a collection, (only for myself) and I'm really excited, I want to show you guys my first sketches. So I'm removing the blogging schedule, and going to post a screenshot of the first draft (uncolored) and then I'll post final drafts and hopefully I'll be able to create at least one of the items that I design for myself.

Liz Claiborne

Anne Elizabeth Jane Claiborne was born March 31st, 1929, in Brussels Belgium.

On the first of January in 1950 one of her sketches won a contest, which was sponsored by Harper Bazaar Magazine*, and (not surprisingly) their magazine is still doing excellent today.

Starting, also in 1950, two days after she won the sketching contest, Liz started to design sportswear for women. One and a half years later she started to work on seventh avenue, she was a design assistant and a model. She was still also working, designing sports wear for women.

Her career in sportswear ended in 1955.

Style Books 01

Recently I read this book called, Oh No She Didn't by Clinton Kelly. Ha! It was sort of funny. While he can use a little profanity, it's nothing too serious. It talks about the fashion mistakes women make.

I must say though, read through, even if you think you're dressing yourself well. You may find that you are doing more of these things than you thought....

I read it, gave me some good laughs.

One Direction Beauty Products

Guess what I just found out about! One Direction is launching a line of beauty products!

Yeah, you heard me.

'Don't need make-up
To cover up
Being the way that you are
Is enough'

Sure, well now they think you do need make-up.

A Colorful Coat For Winter/Fall

I know and I'm sorry, but Fall and Winter are creeping up on us slowly. I know I'm upset too. But the great thing about going through seasons is that you can go out and buy new clothes. My favorite thing to buy for winter is my coat.

It's always a struggle to find a coat that's cheap, and warm. But, these are not the only factors we should be considering. Your coat it the first thing people see on you. It's their first impression on your outfit. And you don't get a second chance to make a first impression.

Tom Ford & Marc Jacobs

Let me start out by saying I'm so sorry for not updating in the past month (ish). I know, I know, I'm a horrible person.

I am not, nor ever will be, responsible for any accidents between your screen and tomato throwing.

So recently I got a book from the library called, 50 Fashion Designers You Should Know By Simone Werle. And I completely indulged myself in it. But the two designers that really caught my eye, were Tom Ford and Marc Jacobs. And they're very current. I mean, Tom Ford has a fall collection coming out soon and Marc Jacobs had his Fall/Winter collection out, so it was fun for me to go through his page of clothes, and then not seeing any prices worries me, because that means that it's really expensive.

Every Day of Your Life After

Well today is the day you go out into the world as a changed person. Your closet has been transformed for cluttered and filled with clothes you'll never even wear, to practically a clean slate filled with clothes you will wear. Like I said before: a changed person.
Now that your closet is almost empty you need to go out and buy things. Today I only had luck finding one item of clothing. A navy blue, three quarter sleeved, two breast pocketed, three buttoned shirt, from Old Navy. Yup, that was it! It was clearance too which made me really happy.

Day One: Wardrobe Invasion

Today is the first day I'm going through my very cluttered, enormous, (and scary if I might add) wardrobe. I may be the 'Fashion Guru' but have you seen how I treat my clothes?! It makes me sick just thinking about it. So let me give you my checklist, outline, thing. See, I don't even know what to call it!

Spring Fashions 02 Belk©

I love this length
so much. It's perfect and
doesn't make you
look short.
I think we should go right into finding awesome fashions. Today were going to Belk!© My first choice that I'll show you today Is a red camel® Belted Crop. They have five pockets, and the length is 25in or 63.5cm. These pants only come in a scarlett color, which is what you see here. The original price was $40! But you can get it now for $23.99.The length is perfect for anyone, it lands at just the right length. It makes short people look like they're a normal height, no offense. Go buy it! I assure you that you'll wear it many times this spring. Click: Here

Spring Fashions 01 Kohl's©

Now I know this has long sleeves.
So this would be more of an early
spring type of thing.
Yes yes, I know this is late and you probably hate me for it. Just...Don't. If that's a nice way to put it. :) Now let's get on with me sharing my absolute favorite (and cheapest) spring styles from  stores in almost every city in the country, like  Kohl's© Belk© and more! But in this blog post were going to focus on Kohl's©
This is from Kohls and it's in the clearance section, it used to be $26 but for now it's on sale for $5.20!! Go look for this chic shirt, you won't regret buying something like this! This comes in many colors: Arcadia, (which is almost a light blue) Dark Purple, Fiery Red, Golden Glow, (that's the one on the side) Jet Black, and Ocean Depth. Go. Order it. You know you want to. Click: Here
Yay! Did you go and order it? I hope you did! You'll be able to use it all the time. Now I know this isn't runway fashion, this is everyday fashion. You're not going to want to walk out in a dress every morning. Of course you have your day's now and then where you'll want to do that. Coming up next we have a nice skirt, see I had you there didn't I? You thought I was not going to have any skirts or dresses didn't you? No? Aw, man!
It's a skirt!
It's a skirt! Aren't you happy! I know what your thinking, 'Why would I wear black in the spring time?' You don't have to buy it in black! It also comes in an ivory (but to me the ivory looks like white. Lace bottoms (and tops) have become very popular in recent months. The length: 17in or 43.18cm in length. This was originally $40 but now it's $23.99! You know you want to buy such a beautiful skirt. Click: Here
It's a tad bit short.
 Or at least for me.
Did you order this one? Next we'll have a Hi-Low dress from HeartSoul.

As you can see this season has many lace pieces involved. (Don't worry the next isn't lace) This is a Hi-Low dress, which has also become very much in style the past few months. It's 3/4 sleeves and from shoulder to hem it's 35.25in or 89.535. This is probably one of my favorite pieces I'll share with you today. The dress comes in Navy Blue and Ivory. I love them both! And it's only $33.99. To get it now, Click: Here
Blazers of all colors are becoming a new fashion for all ages, young and old. This one that I'm showing now is from Candie's It's a shawl collar and only $28.99! you can throw on a light shirt underneath, even a graphic t-shirt and it would still look amazing! This blazer comes in Parasailing (which is what you see now) and Surf The Web
(which is a  blue color). Click: Here
That's it for our first Kohl's© post. I hope that you loved reading it as much as I loved writing it! That's it for now.

An Explanation/Apology

I'm so sorry about how expensive the jacket on the last post was. The reason I put it there was because I'm sure if you went out and bought the outfit you would find a very similar jacket for 1/2 the cost. Don't hate me, I was in a rush to give you guys something exiting to look at and read!

Layering Whenever

March is known for it's up and own weather. One day you'll find that it's 65 degrees outside and another day you'll see that it's only 39 degrees. It's just crazy! So that's why you'll find people layering this time of year. Want to learn how to layer the right way? Well here we go you should always start out with a nice light tank top:
If you want to go with a heavy fabric make sure you're going to be in a cold place for a long time. You may regret having something so heavy underneath. Choose a color that complements the rest of your outfit. If you're going for something dark a navy blue may be a good option. But, if you want something light an orange or yellow would probably do you the most justice.

Expensive vs. Cheap

Braids For Your Hair

Being a fashion guru doesn't mean I just specialize in clothes, I like doing my hair too! There are so many ways to make your hair stand out from the crowd. (Just like your clothes!) I personally love doing some type of braid. The absolute most simple braid is the one wear you split the hair into three pieces and then pull them together.

For People Who Don't Care And Want Too

There are many ways that you can approach the situation. My way is right here, right now, for free!!! There are 3 steps to this process.

Number 1: Realize That You Want To Change
Obviously you've already done this step by coming here. So no need to worry about that part!

Number 2: Look At What You're Wearing Now
Is is pajamas, your favorite t-shirt?

Number 3: You Just Need To Add A Jacket And Some Jewelry
You don't need to go completely overboard to look stylish. You need very little to understand key principals of fashion! If you want even more practicalities read my blog!!

Changing My Ways

High-Heels, to me I think anyone who wears them is so brave! I mean they are like 5 inches tall all on this small, little, minuscule piece of (whatever it's made of.)  I mean as soon as I put those things on I would fall over! So, I'm changing my ways! No more super high heels! It's just not practical for most of us I mean, really, are you going to go outside and risk the physical health of you legs and your pride, just for style. I'm sure some of us would, but the thing is that you don't have to! You can wear heels that aren't a billion feet high, and still look stylish.
